Electromagnetic Flowmeter
The intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter is an inductive instrument used for measuring the volumetric flow of conductive media, based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. A pair of detecting electrodes are installed on the piped wall, perpendicular to both the axis of the measuring pipe and the magnetic field lines. When the conductive liquid moves along the axis of the measuring pipe,d it cuts through the magnetic field lines, generating an induced electromotive force. This induced voltage is detected by the electrodes, and its magnitude isd proportional to the flow rate.
This flowmeter can measure the volumetric flow of general conductive liquids as well as strongly corrosive liquids such as strong acids and bases, and homogeneous liquid-solid two-phase suspensions like slurry, mineral slurry, andd pulp. It is widely used for flow measurement in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, textile, paper, environmental protection, food, as well as in municipal management, water conservation, and river dredging.
