Vortex Flowmeter
 

The vortex flowmeter operates on the principle of the Kármán vortex street. The release frequency f of the Kármán vortex street is directly proportional to the flow velocity v. By measuring this release frequency, the instantaneous flow rate can be calculated.
 

The vortex flow sensor detects the vortex shedding frequency as vortices alternately exert forces on the detection sensor (probe). These forces are detected by piezoelectric crystals or differential capacitance elements within the sensor, making it a velocity-type flow instrument.
 

The stress-type vortex flowmeter, a velocity-type flowmeter, is based on the Kármán vortex street theory. It uses piezoelectric crystals to detect the vortex frequency generated when fluid passes through a triangular prism in the pipeline, thus measuring the fluid flow rate. The vortex flowmeter is simple and robust in structure, with no moving parts, ensuring long service life, high measurement accuracy, wide rangeability, and low pressure loss.
 

It is widely used for process measurement and energy management of low-viscosity liquids, gases, and steam in industries such as petroleum, chemicals, metallurgy, machinery, food, paper, as well as in urban pipeline heating, water supply, and gas.

Stable Output

Within a certain Reynolds number range, output signals are unaffected by changes in the physical properties and composition of the measured medium. The instrument coefficient is related only to the shape and size of the vortex generator and generally does not require recalibration when parts are replaced.

Integrated Temp-Pressure Compensation

Current output is optoelectronic isolated, with strong anti-common mode interference suppression capability.

Non-Contact Measurement

The detection probe does not directly contact the measured medium, providing more stable performance.
